On Supreme Court nominee John Roberts

The U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to begin confirmation hearings on Supreme Court nominee John Roberts on Sept. 6. President Bush announced his selection of Roberts to replace Justice Sandra Day O'Connor on July 19. Roberts, 50, has served on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia since 2003.
